The Merry, Merry Month of May

All the blues, indigos and corals of the very merry month of May. This arrangement brings together a pair of stunning irises in mauve and palest blue and sets them against peonies in coral, palest pink and cerise, anemones in blue, purple and palest green and agapanthus in a classic indigo blue. Finishing the arrangement are magenta tulips, frothy cow parsley (‘Queen Anne’s Lace’), deep purple clematis, delicate snake’s head fritillaries and a sprinkling of purple ranunculus.  The beautiful Maling jug holding the arrangement is one of my favourites and is in near perfect condition, with only a hint of crazing revealing its age.
