Commissions
The majority of the arrangements and installations I create are commissions for individuals and businesses. I love bringing a floral vision to life and creating a head-turning design which is just perfect for its surroundings. This is not just a flower arrangement – this is a piece of art created just for you which will last for years to come.
Something Uniquely Yours
Pricing
My pricing for a commission, incorporating both your favourite florals and a perfect vessel, starts at £150. This includes:
- A 30 minute video consultation to discuss the space and your preferred palette and flowers;
- Expert sourcing of the highest quality artificial flowers from over 20 suppliers;
- Expert sourcing of an appropriate vessel – new or pre-loved to suit your taste;
- A unique arrangement carefully created for your space using the blooms you love.
Please note that delivery costs will be negotiated at the consultation stage. I personally deliver every design myself to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.

One-of-a-Kind Originals
Each creation is a ‘one-off’, ensuring your arrangement is truly exclusive and never replicated.
Premium Artificial Florals
I source the highest quality stems from specialist suppliers, including some with ‘real touch’ textures which feel like fresh flowers.
Pre-loved Vessels with History
Where possible I use vintage and antique vessels which bring authenticity and reduce my carbon footprint.
The Process
The commission process commences with a free, no obligation video consultation to discuss the space and your preferred palette and flowers.
I will then create a proposal which I will send through to you via email or WhatsApp depending on your preference. This proposal will show you:
- My suggested palette;
- My suggested blooms;
- A minimum of one vase / vessel suggestion.
This is the most important stage of the commission process. It’s a chance to tell me if there’s anything you don’t like, if there’s anything you love which should be featured more heavily – or indeed to tell me if I’m not on the right tracks! Once we have agreed the blooms and vessel, I then require a 50% deposit for me to source and purchase the final materials. The remaining 50% and delivery charge is payable on delivery of the arrangement.
I aim to create your arrangement within two weeks of receiving your deposit and will send through photos and/or a video for approval. Whilst there is the opportunity for minor tweaks at this stage, requests for additional stems will be charged per item and in the unlikely event of a more substantial redesign being requested, this is charged at £20 per hour for my design time.
Bringing Your Floral Vision to Life
Here are some things to consider when commissioning an arrangement:
- Surroundings are key. Any photos you can share of your décor and lighting are really helpful. I once created an arrangement for a client which was inspired by their new cushions!
- Perhaps you’re lucky enough to have an outdoor space and occasionally bring cut flowers inside. I love to incorporate artificial equivalents of these blooms so that your guests and/or clients think the arrangement is the output of your own green fingers;
- I try and keep my gallery up to date and so it’s helpful to know if there are specific arrangements in there which really speak to you – in terms of the blooms, the vase or the overall shape of the design;
- A floral arrangement can be the perfect way of bringing your brand to life. I can incorporate your brand colours into both the blooms and the vessel and create a head-turning, contemporary design to impress both clients and visitors alike. An arrangement which includes my high quality faux vegetables and berries alongside beautiful artificial flowers is often popular with restaurants and cafés.

Testimonials
What My Clients Say
Thank you for everything you added to Raby Castle at Christmas. Not only has it been a joy to work with you… it all looks spectacular. I particularly value the collaborative approach that you took – even when a few unexpected twists appeared … you just took it all in your stride.
It was pleasure transacting business with Anice of ‘Opulence and the Beetle’. Anice took the time to design a display for our reception area, considering the brief that was given and then excelling with the finished display. A very pleasant and professional experience. Thank you, Anice.
You pulled my exact vision from my head and created it perfectly; thank you so so much. I can’t put into words how perfectly the final piece complements my brand. It’s not just a floral arrangement – it’s a visual representation of everything I want my brand to communicate.
We couldn’t be happier. Anice is so talented and we hope other indies discover her work and she gets lots of new clients and I can go on a trip round Leeds discovering her work all over the place.
Your Questions Answered
Are your arrangements realistic?
I take enormous pride in sourcing the highest quality stems and the majority of my suppliers only produce stems in colours and textures which are true to original flora. Some of my stems are ‘real touch’ which means they will convince even the hardest skeptic. Occasionally I will include artificial blooms in a non-authentic colour if I feel that they add interest to a design, but my only consistent exception to realism is Christmas when I let my imagination run wild. You’ll find splashes of gold, tiny baubles and even jewels included in these arrangements as I embrace the festive season and bring twinkle and sparkle to the shorter days.
Can I place my arrangement outside?
In short: only briefly (e.g. for a picnic). Whilst it is possible to source stems which have a high UV resistance, my arrangements are designed for use indoors and will be enjoyed to their greatest effect – and for many years to come – when kept out of direct sunlight for extended periods. There are simply too many beautiful plants which thrive in the elements for me to even try and compete outdoors.
How do I clean my arrangement?
Artificial flower arrangements are wonderfully low maintenance. A quick tickle from time to time with a feather duster is usually sufficient to keep them looking their best, or even a short blast with a hairdryer on cold.
What is a ‘centrepiece’?
A centrepiece arrangement is designed so that it can be enjoyed from all angles – with interesting colours and textures the whole way around. However, there is nothing stopping you from using a centrepiece in a corner, on a shelf or on a mantlepiece if you prefer. This gives you the happy option of rotating the arrangement from time to time for a new look.
Do you always use pre-loved vessels?
I love to use pre-loved vessels as they reduce my carbon footprint and bring an additional layer of interest and authenticity to my arrangements. Where possible I try to research the provenance of my vessels for those who are interested. However, sometimes I spot a new vessel which I know could be used to create a beautiful design and so I always make this clear in my descriptions.
Do you do weddings?
Not yet – but soon. One of the benefits of faux flowers is that availability is not restricted by the seasons, so I will soon be offering a specialist service for winter weddings.
Are the props in your photos for sale?
I create all my own photography and have collated a selection of cherished props for each season. Some of these are family treasures which I simply cannot part with, but if there is a specific item which has captured your heart then by all means drop me an email and we can have a discussion.
Am I pronouncing your name correctly?
Thanks for asking! The ‘i’ is pronounced as an ‘ee’, so think of it like ‘A-Niece’ rather than like ‘Alice’.
